Meet the Therapist:

Morgan Otto-Berglund, MSW, LIMHP, LCSW

Despite the most difficult circumstances, I believe that we can all find ways to grow and heal. I'm here to help facilitate the change process by offering support, feedback, science-backed information, and personalized tools.

I’ve worked with clients experiencing an array of concerns: anxiety, depression, anger, relationship conflict, sexual health and satisfaction, difficulty with life transitions, and acute and complex trauma.  I have provided individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

My master’s degree in social work (MSW) is from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.  New Orleans was my home for years while I completed my clinical licensure process and first entered private practice. Kansas City, Missouri became my home at the beginning of the COVID pandemic, and I transferred most of my practice to Missouri at that time. While I now live in Omaha, Nebraska, I continue to enjoy offering therapy to folks living in Missouri and Louisiana.

My approach is based in respect of each person's individual experience and values.  I work from an understanding that acceptance of and comfort in our bodies is essential to living a contented life.  When I earned my bachelors degree at Smith College, I focused on Women and Gender Studies, concentrating in Queer Studies. Since that time, I've strived to operate from an anti-oppressive framework, serving LGBTQ+ people and exploring the ways our environments impact our lived experience.

I value simplicity, balance, and contentment.  When I’m not working, I can often be found experimenting with cooking, taking walks and enjoying the outdoors, reading, and writing.
